Course Information

  • The course plays to a 6,549 yards from the blue tees (rating 71.3, slope 121), 6,287 from the white tees (rating 70.1, slope 118), and 5,040 yards from the red tees (rating 67.7, slope 107)
  • Director of Golf and PGA Professional Jerry Vidovic is a past United States Amateur Public Links Champion and 2-time NCAA All-American. Jerry maintains a busy schedule of lessons and clinics and still plays a seriously good game.
  • One of the fun aspects of playing The Meadows is the par 5's. At 493, 521, 482, and 501 yards from the white tees, the chance for a birdie or two is pretty good. Place your second shot in the wrong place on any of those holes, however, and the chance for a double-bogie or worse is equally as good.

meadows1smIn the early 1990's, the concept of developing a golf course facility on the site of the former Sexton Brick Factory and dump site began to take shape. Architect J. Porter Gibson was contracted to design an 18-hole course and practice range on the site and despite a number of construction and environmental issues, the facility was completed and opened for play in 1994.

ServiScape was hired in 1997 to assume responsibility for the course and grounds maintenance operations. Since then, a number of necessary course improvements have been completed including the construction of new tees, expanded cart paths, and a number of drainage, irrigation, and aesthetic upgrades.

The Meadows is one of the busiest and most successful facilities in the Chicago golf market.
